A
GREEK INTERVIEW
Journalist: Hello Tiziano! First of all I want to welcome you to our land and to our magazine. Tiziano: Thank you! J: Have you ever been to Greece? TzN: No I have never been to Greece before but I would like to come, so invite me to be there. J: We don't know a lot off things about you. Well can you tell us who exactly is Tiziano? TzN: I'm a boy from Italy 22 years old who sings and write songs. Little time ago I did an album called "Rosso Relativo" which is a mix of R&B music and Italian. J: You've always had this passion for music? TzN: I was always in love with the music, but I couldn't imagine that it was going to be my job. I worked very hard to do it .and now I'm here! J: At 1998 you met two producers, Alberto Salerno and Mara Maionchi , was that a great moment for your career? TzN: It was! I can say that maybe it was the most important moment in my career. I was singing in a contest and Mara and Alberto was in the crowd. In the end of my performance they came and they suggested me to work with them. They believed so much in me and I will have to say a big thank you to those two people. J: Well now we have your first album in our hands. Are you satisfied with the final result? TzN: Very much! I wrote and I sing all the songs, it was my dream to have my album and now here it is. I think that I have to be more mature. But if you think that this is my first album I can say that I 'm very satisfied and full of energy to do something better in the future. J: I want to ask you something about your song which has been a success. At your album I'm seeing a title "Xdono" but the song says "Perdono". Which is correct? TzN: In Italics you can pronouns "x" like "per" so for Italians is something like play on words. At international albums the song is written "Perdono" and not "Xdono". J: That song it reminds me much Craig David's songs. Do you think that you are inspired of his songs? TzN: Yes I think that me and Craig David have inspired from Usher, Sisqo, and Terence Trent D'Arby , so it's easy to make same sounds. But I think that singing in Italian gives another color in music. J: Let's say that I am a person who never heard the name Tiziano Ferro and his music. What can you tell me about your music? What can we listen to your album? TzN: You can listen some soul and R&B songs mixed with a Latin image and Italian. Maybe it will sound strange but I hope people to like it. J: Your album has 12 songs all songs written from you. Can you tell me which is your favorite and why?
TzN: Maybe my favorite is "Imbranato". It's a song that makes me very exciting every time I sing it. It's something away from logic. So I can't explain why. I like that song, it is a ballad and it will be my second single. J: How difficult is for you to write the music and your song's lyrics that you sing? TzN: It is very difficult to mix Italics and R&B because no one has done that before. But I love music and I like composing. It's a hard work but I like doing it. J: Italy has a big tradition in music, and many artists like Eros Ramazzoti and Laura Pausini have managed to do an interesting international career. You personally what do you want to do? TzN: I want simply to continue write my songs and sing them. Maybe I'll write songs for other artists too. J: I meant if you want to do an international career? TzN: I had never thought something like that. I simply wish to manage to do my best with the music and then ..will see! Now I'm just working very hard. J: Do you believe that singing in Italics makes more difficult an international career? TzN: I don't know. Italy is a beautiful country with beautiful people, food, views and culture. People all over the world love Italian style and I'm very happy that I'm an Italian, so I think that this can be an advantage. J: Some people are using an Italian expression for Italian and Greek people "una faccia una razza" which means that we are the same. Do you agree with that? TzN: I have never been to Greece so I don't know. Invite me to come, I'll see and then I will answer. J: What music do you like to listen? TzN: Usually I hear many different styles of music, like soul, Italian melodies, R&B salsa and electronic music. From Lauryn Hill to Erykah Badu and from Bjork to Henry Salvador. J: When you want to relax, there is something that you like to do more? TzN: I usually go to the cinema alone or with some friends. I'm trying to be with my family the most I can and that's all.
J: Is it difficult to be a star an everyone in the street to recognize you? TzN: It is difficult when you to be alone and to be relaxed. I know that is a part of the "game", I'm doing my best to make people to know my job more and more. I'm trying to be positive, but it's not easy specially when you walk in the streets of Italy.
J: Do you have fans? TzN: No! Only my family supports me and I'm very sad for that. No, I'm just kidding! I have fans and I like to be with them everyday through their site: www.tizianoferrofanclub.com. J: Which is your favorite place for holidays? TzN: I never go on holidays. I enjoy my work, I'm resting when I'm in studio and write songs, and if I fill tired with that, I just take some moments for my self in my house with my family. I'm traveling so much so I don't want to travel more to be relaxed. That makes me more stressful. J: Let's guess that you are a medium, what are you seeing for the future? TzN: Hmmm . Sitting in my own studio in which I'll have built under my house, writing my tenth album and singing my songs. And maybe writing some songs for my favorite artists. No more useless stress, many concerts all over the Europe without stress. J: Well, are you going to come in our country in the future? TzN: I will be very glad to come there if you invite me. And I want to enjoy your san and your sea. J: I would like to finish this conversation with your message to the people who read this interview at this moment. TzN: Thank you and many kisses to my fans. Ciaoooooooooooooo! |
