Julia
Roberts, nació el 28 de Octubre de 1967 en Smyrna, Georgia. Sus
padres eran de vocación actoral y su hermano Erick Roberts fue
el primero en introducirse en el Cine profesional.
Esta joven y delgada muchacha, la que se dedicaba a tocar el clarinete
en la banda Campbell High Scholl, jamás imagino que después
de interpretar su primer papel en el filme Blood Red, se transformaría
en una gran estrella.
Después de dos años de carrera profesional, obtuvo su primera
nominación al Oscar, por la película Flores de Acero en
la que interpretaba a una enfermera. Su gran éxito fue Mujer Bonita,
co protagonizada con Richard Gere. Hoy en día es considerada una
de las mejores, bellas y mas caras estrellas de Hollywood.
Realizo varios personajes en distintas películas, pero sin duda,
fue "Erin Brokovich" la que la llevo a ser elogiada por la critica
y merecedora del Oscar 2001, como Mejor Actriz. Aquí interpreta
a una madre soltera que debe luchar contra todos y todo.
En su vida sentimental debió enfrentar varios tropiezos, con decenas
de romances, una boda suspendida con Kiefer Sutherland, casi al pie del
altar, un matrimonio fracasado con el cantante country Lyle Lovett, la
hizo convertirse en el tema preferido por la prensa inventando idilios
con quien ella se relacionará. Hoy en día mantiene una sólida
relación con el actor Benjamin Pratt (el detective de Rey Curtis
de la serie La Ley y El Orden).
Julia Roberts, gracias a su esfuerzo constancia y ángel, esta catalogada
como una gran actriz capaz de interpretar diferentes tipos de roles con
gran excelencia.
Entre sus últimas apariciones se encuentran "The Mexican",
"Ocean's Eleven" y "Full Frontal".
